so what time is it in vegas?

i'm so obsessed with finding out what time it is in certain parts of america nowadays. why? i dont know. maybe i do. sometimes there are things i want for no obvious reasons. a possible reason for my obsession could be because i want to know what mr usa is up to. should be about 7-8ish.

recently, i followed a blog Ebony Freedom Sketchers written by and old friend :) it's not really a blog, but a collection of poems from her extension II english major work. about eight months ago, i was eager to take up ext 2 because i enjoyed writing and thinking deeply, but my dad told me i was not allowed to take this subject because english marking tends to be subjective and is bad for marks etc. so i listened to him and stopped thinking about taking this subject up. and since then, my english marks have been dropping. i'm quite disappointed with my marks (i hate this rank-on-report system they have at school. it devastates me) and all the hopes of taking ext 2 english have gone down the drain. it is at a moment like this that my dad decides i should take up this extra unit after attending a teacher/parent subject selection talk. i mean seriously, why do we clash so badly? now i have no interest whatsoever in taking up that fourth unit.

and so every night at the dinner table when the subject is brought up, a huge arguement arises, and he brings out that inner rebellion in me. i despise that. i love nothing more than being the "good child" in the family. but ugh- reading back, i see how much ive digressed.

so, wondering away from this topic completely, i was walking around in my front yard for a bit feeling the warmth of the sun on my neck as i was observing how well the weed killer solution worked on our front lawn.

and then.. i hear a motorbike.

motorbike on highway = bikie
motorbike on tv = racing
motorbike in a little street like mine could only mean one thing.

postman has arrived.

and then i could feel the adrenaline pumping throughout all the veins in my body. i run up to my mailbox to see what this wonderful man has brought and its a NRMA voting letter. anticlimax much?

for the past month i've been learning wonderwall + officially missing you + a few popular tunes on guitar and ive been improving every day, however, i can never sing along which is kind of annoying. especially when the music and the singing are timed differently

now i shall sunbake in my backyard :)

yeah so i received feedback from 2 people saying VOODOO all the way :) so yeah.

not much happened since my last blog; except i caught up with mister usa via WEBCAM. i dont use webcam often at all. infact it is disconnected and we lost the installation cd when we moved here. if anyone happens to have a speed s4800b webcam + installation disk please shout out ^^ i dont really want to buy another webcam.

however i want another camera. not that there my current camera is unusable. its just an item on my "stuff i really want" list. the model i have is the Digital IXUS IIs


but i've had it since year 7. and it looks very battered (since we went on an church outing to the beach.. and the salt water corroded the metal..)
this camera isnt actually mine. :) belongs to the family, but im the one who uses it the most. i love photos.

my main problem with it is that its just 3.2mp. i mean back then, it was the latest & the best etc. but now there are cameras that reach 12mp. photos that have have a good pixel quality are more fun to fiddle around with on photoshop because its such fine detail. oh also. this camera only has 3 x zoom. taking a picture of someone on stage from the back of the JC hoskin auditorium = epic fail. its epic failure even if you take the pic from the centre of the hall .

i feel hungry.


i love it how people make food into such interesting pieces of art. i love playing with my food. of course i get told off by people like sim at camp when they see me fiddle with the peas or the hardened custard...

i wish it would snow in sydney. for one day :) that would be so rad. i would be decked out in my snow gear and look like this ...

haha. i took that photo looong long ago in shanghai when i discovered my phone had all these cool functions like frames :) and i thought hey, suits todays weather!

speaking of presents; i have been told that there is MAIL from america. addressed TO ME. :) i dont often get letters. my penpals: hiro, noriko and jere all communicated via email. so yes. mail sounds very very exciting. thank you in advance mr usa. seriously makes up for the lack of activity in this coming holiday.

i made an error in my last post. the soap i was watching is called "days of our lives" as someone kindly pointed out. yeah. mybad :) its superly dramatic and the story line is so twisty + complicated. according to my mum, they use the same characters, so i guess its sort of like neighbours. but i shant talk about that now.

now i have to go to sleep. because in a few hours, i have to have enough energy to teach a little girl WEMG :)

dilemma

hi again. so today, ive decided that i dont like the blogspot photo uploader. im going to start using photobucket again to host my images while i use my wonderful html skillz work some magic on this blog.

as the title suggests, i am in a dilemma. last night (or should i say early morning) i was surfing through blog layouts and i found suckmylolly who has really cute designs. after sifting through tonnes of XMLS i've narrowed it down to three. and i cant seem to make up my mind.

i forgot to mention yesterday, that after i visited winnie at work, my dad and i went to bunnings to look for a weed'n feed product. we deliberately tried to leave my mum at home because she HATES that stuff. =/ and my dad HATES weeds. and i just went because i needed to stop off at north rocks to splurge on school necessities.

my ITO books collection is huge now :)

and i bought copypaper cos i knew i had a ride home :)

once, i ran out of paper the night before an ag assignment had to be handed in so i caught a bus to north rocks westfield to buy a reem of paper. AND THEN when i decided to head back home, i missed my bus. so i walked home :( with a reem of paper.

hmm i seem to be taking alot of photos today..

i dont really have much to blog about today. it's been quite boring at home. i was so bored at one point i switched the tv on to watch an episode of 'times of our lives' where a married couple decided to have a divorce even though they loved each other?
weird.

i saw mr usa pop on msn not long ago. infact, he is still on- but he doesnt seem to be replying. so bleh. i should finish this blog. its been open here for HOURS. i've been skipping off to do random little things like math hw, tv, taking photos, photoshop, guitar.. dreaming about guitar hero. :)

• rewrite integration stuff in my NEW math books (yeaah. yr 12 bookmarks =___= ) i feel so awesome. i have this HUGE collection of ITO exercise books now :) i used to think they were tacky, but yeah, not anymore [obviously..]
• READ AHEAD IN CHEM (i seriously doubt i will do this.. knowing me, i'll try hard in the beginning- but soon my breaks to the kitchen will be longerr and longerr and longerrrr
• READ AHEAD IN ECO (ditto above)
• DO SOME MATHS (not rewriting, but actual revision) - yeah i WILL do this :)
• EMAAAAAAIL overseas :) naturally
• work. yeah. a kid is going to be coming to my place tues, thurs and friday for 2 hours each day for TWO WEEKS for tutoring. poor child.. i might offer her my tim tams. =/
• NOT WATCH DRAMAs: this is kinda hard, but achievable. i did that last week
• save money- im not very good at saving money. i got paid on saturday and i gave my parents 83 1/3% of it. (yeah i took out my calculator and worked it out).. and it was alot : i spent alot of hours this past month working : and now come holiday time its like the peak season for work. :O:O
• maintain the cleanliness of my room.
• convince my parents to let me get a goldfish - i need something to keep me sane next year during my hsc. i need someone who cant talk back to talk to :(

yeah. enough of the dot points. ive been seeing too many spots (guitar hero.. <3!)

SLEEPOVER PARTY

this was rather fun. but the fun started late for me. i was at work from 12-2. and at work, winnie called and asked whether i could give her a lift, to which i replied 'sure'. my dad is like my chauffeur (sort of) he likes driving me to different places (including hell and insanity) can be very convenient sometimes. so after work, i popped over to coles and bought 4 L of softdrink as my contribution to the party. dad picked me up and we zoomed away via beecroft road to meet winnie. hehe. when she got in the car, we could smell her soy chicken *mmm* (we had that for dinner last night) skip skip skip

when we got there, everyone was either in the kitchen, eating, guitar heroine-ing or watching stomp the yard (weird movie). naturally winnie and i headed towards to kitchen to satisfy our natural hunger urges. those friend wonton things are nice 8-)

and then at the same time Anastacia (fox? i heard it wasnt disney...), guitar hero + food was all done at the same time. sim and alice played the sing-a-long in the Anastacia special features disk.. and they sang... in a chipmunkish voice. really really really weird. i was mostly guitar heroine-ing :) its so fun, but i discovered the fullest extent of my lack of hand-eye co-ordination. then came alices cheese cake. i mean, japanese cheese cake : it was like.. 3cm high HAHA cos it deflated in the oven

NOTE TO ALL BEGINNER BAKERS, a tip from an experienced baker, dont set the temperature of your open too high. your cake will rise too quickly and be filled with HUGE hot air bubbles that when it comes into contact with the air outside the oven, it will die. baking takes patience. :) patience makes the nicest (prettiest cakes) - (unless you forget about the cake and leave it there to burn...)
but everyone love the cheesecake. we sang happy birthday to cat.. because it was her birthday AND I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF ALICES CAKE! *sigh* how forgetful of me. after the cake, it was more tar hero and MAHJONG. i hate mahjong, so i tarred. it was so fun :) i practiced the most.

oh crap; i have a really bad memory. i dont remember whether we ate janette's beautiful cupcakes first, or alice's deflated cheesecake... anypoos. i shall show you how beautiful janet's cakes were.

leeanne also baked a cake. it was tiramisu *drool* winnie choked on the cocoa powder xD

yeah so we guitar heroine-ed until late morning. well. around three?

and then winnie fell asleep.

sandy and i decided to play pokemons.. specifically- jigglypuff. i took out a blue hilighter, and sandy drew lines on winnies face. so hilarious. i visited winnie at work today. and she still had some faint blue streaks on her face.

alot actually happened, but i cant seem to remember. im feeling so violently sleepy, im afraid my head will bash onto my desk.

yesterday, winnie gave me the funniest birthday present. its a set of "boyfriend training flashcards" so hilarious. earlier on i recited a few of these tips to topher. we both found it quite amusing. :) ty winnie. i hope you like your yoga fisherman pants. alice, sam and i spent quite a while there figuring out how the pants were supposed to work. like seriously. one size fits all ? :O how versatile. after feeling the fabric, i want a pair too. :) very nice for summer.

MY NAME IS JONAS. is such an awesome song to play on guitar hero. i love it. i love guitar hero. i love it so much. i also love the guitar (a normal one) sim has lying around in her home. it sounds so lovely and mellow. :D mine sounds disgusting compared to hers.

ended today pretty well.

i said to myself that i would do work. but for the whole night, i played isketch.

it's officially my favourite game.

sim's place tomorrow. JOINT birthday party. should be interesting. i will take photos. *sigh* such disjointed sentences.

1 day left of year 11

11's the magic number...

i remember last year, around this time the (back then) year 11s brought along their cameras and cam whored all day long. and then a few hours later, i logged on to fb to see tonnnnes of photos.

nostalgia.

i should take more photos.

infact, i think i'll bring my camera tomorrow to take math class photos. i love my math class. family-ish of strange people.

today; not very exciting. spotted a few yr 12s lurking around.. but didn't talk to any.

oh my gosh. i forgot i had jap hw. but japs last period so - oh well. eco party. :O i can take pictures then :)

oh noes, i've lost my blogging vibe. i write in very short sentences now.
