Inmates' tribute

ZZZ. Guys, this controversy is getting boring =___=;

Something almost as controversial- but at least it's fresh. :)

I wasn't going to blog about this whole MJ death, etc- but I mean, I blog about everything else (yes. EVERYTHINGelse :P) So I thought, ah- what the heck.

This isn't a tribute. Just my reflections.

I am a fan of his music. Whenever Rock With You comes on the radio when my family and I are sitting in the car listening to Mix 106.5, we just transform (yay transformers) into boogeying little party goers.

I love what MJ has brought to music, however he's created so much controversy, and the mass media- well, they destroyed him D: Yeaah. I don't know whether the paedophilia cases are real or not. I mean sure, he wasn't found guilty, but didn't he try to pay off the dudes who were accusing him? It's something we'll never know. But we know enough. He was a music legend.

One of the not-so surprising things that happened after his death was the "rip mj" phrases people used in their msn nicknames and blogposts, and the MASSIVE surge in mj scrobbles, oh and the ginormous amounts of MJ merc selling on ebay. :D Someone famous is always more famous dead than alive. Euughh, how grim. Yeah, well I've avoided listening to his music for the past couple of days. I don't know why.

Because I didn't know him personally and such, I've only seen him in papers, magazines and television, he seems immortalised by the media, so to me it feels like he isn't dead yet. When someone says MJ, a pale guy with curly black hair in a red military jacket pelvic thrusting pops into my mind. Haha.

It just doesn't sink in.

Something else that didn't shock me was the coming out of MJ's ex wife telling the media the kids aren't his.

My first reaction: derr.

But is there really the need to announce it to the public before the corpse is even cold? :/ I don't know how the kids would feel about it when they grow up. Question: where did Blanket come from? :/ I always assumed that he was Debbie's too, but I learnt today he wasn't.

But anyway. Where ever he is now, I hope he's having a good time :) and having a well deserved break.

I watched the Chasers on the weekend (or was it Friday, I don't remember) and they made a reference to him wearing his costumes trying to hide his identity, as well as his children's. At least he doesn't have to hide anymore eh. I can't say I'll miss him appearing in magazines and newspapers with new controversial stunts. But I guess we'll all miss his ability of producing album after album of great music. :)

His music is never disappointing. And goodness, it's everywhere.

Speaking of good music being everywhere, I FOUND MY BEACHBOYS TRACKS.

*GRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN*

Digressing,

My sister and I watched Australia. I know ages ago I said it looked boring etc, but OH MY GOODNESS, I haven't seen a movie in so long that was so complete and good storywise. I'm so impressed by the story. SO SO SO SO impressed.

The scene near the beginning when Nicole Kidman sees the kangaroo being shot and turning to face the camera screaming caused my sister and I to scream (okay I lie, in our sick condition, we could probably only yelp with hoarse -lol hahageddit?- voices) with laughter and rewind and watch again. It's so good. ;D She's rarely this animated. HAHA. I loved it.

Okay. LeeAnne, I know you loved the scene with Hugh Jackman doing whatever. I just ffwed it because 2 hours 45 mins for one movie is way way way too long. Hahaha. Wolverine on Rollercoaster is better than him :) But he's pretty good.

There should be more "complete" movies like Australia. It's brilliant.

Oh, one annoying thing today: I called the school this morning, but all I got was the principal's voice recording *nggh*... It was way past 8. Why does the front office phone only start taking calls at 8.30 when everyone's there at 8 D: D: D:

Inefficient.

Ah well. I should be at school tomorrow. Shall be fun seeing you all again Ha. Much to discuss. Australia. Hehehe.

ehehe

GEE

They always have a tonne of people in bands. That's heaps crazy.

Math todaaaaaaay.

fun

My favourite part in Twilight.

When Bella and Edward first meet. She walks past the fan and he clamps his hand around his nose/mouth because she stinks (of human).

HAHAHA It's so hilarious. I keep rewinding and just watching that part ;D

why do i post so late everyday?

Answer: NO IDEA.

When it's like 9 or 10, I just suddenly get the inspiration to start blogging about something random.

DIGRESSING, short post today because I have a piece of English Shakespeare related work I have to get on with. I am quite looking forward to it. Not. I feel like my eyelids are FREAKING 5 tonnes heavy and I just want my eyeballs to roll back and let my lids slide shut so I can snooze for freaking 24 hours. I think I need it. However I believe that if you oversleep, you'll feel TWICE as tired as you will be if you've underslept, say 2 hours or so. Another one of my once proven hypotheses is... IF you have an assignment/assessment task due in 9am 10th April, and you are up at 6am just finishing the task, you SHOULDN'T go to bed, because chances are that when you wake up after 1.5 hours of sleep, you'll be feeling twice (or anyother numerical that exceeds 2) as tired than pulling off an ALL nighter and go without sleep.

IMPORTANT INFO:
To my superduperawesome school mates, if you have not already done the poll on the SCHOOL PORTAL, please do so immediately. If you need a link, PM/email me, because I don't want the link just floating around in blogosphere for the whole world to see.

Also, the athletics photos are up on the portal :) I SEE A HUGE CHERYL & HELENA PHOTO.

That's all I have to say today. Oh Chris Au, I've burnt some goodies for you, and TANGYPATTY, I've got some pretty good updates for your music collection. Prepare for the ultimate eargasm. No, sorry that was an overrated statement. Regina Spektor's best album is Begin to Hope I think :)

I FINALLY OWN SPIRITED AWAY. Woohoo. Downloaded HIMYM (recent eps) so woo for that too. I have alot of stuff to watch/ take notes on on the weekend.

Have a lovely weekend everyone (yes, you will probably all read this on Friday arvo because I posted too late.. again)

Cheerios

♥ Round Trip- L.I.E

P.S I've done so much yr 9 math revision with my sister my head is half spinning. Haha. I had to dig up all those proofs again. (Metaphorically dig up .. :D)

Photoshop Fun

Friday was our day off, so I decided to download a newer version of the portable CS4 photoshop. The main reason for that was so that I could create a blog link banner to put on Rex's blog. Before I started, I fiddled around with the contrasted, hue, saturation etc in another photo to familiarise myself with everything.

I love photos that have high contrast but dull colours :) It's so easy on the eye.

Didn't get round to putting it in a polaroid frame. :D It has the polaroid effect. me likey.

So yeah. This is the banner. I took a photo earlier this year of the sky + cloud. Played around with the colour and contrast, added text, enlarged asterix and voilá, BLOG BANNER COMPLETED.
And then I started looking through some recent photos and photoshopped everyone's face. Photos were magnified up to 300x. So I know what they have on their faces now. T_T;

Got bored and fiddled around some more.
For the rest of the night, I sat infront of the tv. Watched some REALLY REALLY "been tai" mentally disturbing movies on SBS. First was a movie called powerpoint which delved into the complexities of the human mindset and people who are able to unplug themselves with reality etc. Seriously, it was so "been tai'' because the main character and her professor kept doing sexual stuff throughout the movie and my sister and I had to keep switching channels when those scenes came up. =.=; (btw, WHY IS THERE SO MUCH FOOTBALL ON TV NOWADAYS). Oh right, I forgot to mention, the movie was Japanese. After watching SBS consistently for the past couple of years, I can come to the conclusion tht all Japanese movies played after 10pm on SBS are freaking "been tai".
After that movie, we watched a German comedy titled "666 I'm sleeping with the devil" or something strange like that. And damn it was strange. But it had Claudia Schiffer in it. Lots of sex in both movies, however it was only implied in 666, it had an M rating.
Man. My sister said the jap movie scarred her for life. She saw something I missed while I scampered off to the pantry in search for snackfoods :) I decided not to ask about it.. :)
Anyway. Exciting news. CITRUS SEASON.
All the lemons, limes, oranges and mandarins in my backyard are are growing in a very voluptuous fashion. The mandarins are already quite big and orange mmm. Kumquats soon? or is that a summer thing... I can't recall. We have I think.. 3-4 little kumquat shrubs and 2 loquat trees. Freaking farming suburbs. X) I LOVE IT. The thing I can't grow here is STRAWBERRIES. Well technically, I can, I see the little red berry starting to grow, but the colony of lizards that live under my house STEAL MY BERRIES before they get a chance to grow bigger than a little blue berry. Leaves me heart broken, so I've stopped trying. I also tried cherry tomatoes.... freaking lizards took them ALL.
For the past 2 months, there's been this HUGE bunch of grassy-like leaves growing in a little patch of dirt outside the kitchen window. It's taller than me now. I almost chopped it down today because I seriously thought it was overgrown kikuyu. BUT NO. My mother tells me it's lemon grass.
HAHAHAHAHA
WHAT HAPPENED TODAY
My dad, sister and I went to woolies today and spent over $150 on groceries.
WHAT THE HELL. The trolley was just over half full. When I was a kid, $100 bought one and a half trolleys of stuff. I hate inflation. xD
Then we went to Eastwood and spent more money on food.
When I was sorting everything out in the pantry today, I found the most disgusting thing I've seen this week. It was a rotting banana in a plastic box that wasn't sealed properly inside a plastic bag that wasn't tied up at all. To add to that, it was LEAKING BLACK LIQUID ONTO THE SHELVES. I was EXTREMELY UPSET by this because, unlike my sister who hides food in her room, I keep all my food in the pantry (I'm open to sharing), the VERY PLACE THIS BLACK STUFF WAS USING AS A FREAKING HABITAT.
Anyway. My first reaction to seeing the black puddle was.. omygoshhh. far out.
So I picked up the grotty bag and peered in.
There were alot of squiggly moving things. And I lost it and yelled at the top of my lungs HOLY FREAKING CRAP. To which my dad responded by running in at supertop speed with his humungously long legs to where I was. When he looked into that mangled mess, his only reaction was "fxck".
Teehee, I found that hilarious.
What happened afterwards was boring. Cleared everything from that shelf, chucked infected items in the bin and BLEACHED the shelf. I hate disgusting rotting moldy items. Then I decided to rearrange the whole pantry because everything was such a mess (except for the junk food section, because I monitor that section regularly). But later on, when dad was cooking dinner, he was like... WHERE IS *insert item* and WHERE THE HELL DID YOU PUT *another item*. D: D: But in the end, its all good. My super packing/stacking skillz makes space in the pantry for other items that we no longer use that waste space on the kitchen counter like the JUICE fountain.

When we went to Tonyon today, we bought heaps and heaps of preserved foods and foods that have a while before expiring.. just incase the swine flu epidemic runs wild in NSW. My parents have been forcing us to watch every single news report on the swine flu, I know so much about it now... and that is not a good thing. Ít's driven my sister and I into this unnecessary paranoia. Like today, we were at Tonyon waiting in the queue to pay. And then, this old man behind us sneezes and starts spluttering. My dad, sister and I exchange looks, and we HURRIED AWAY sniggering quietly to ourselves. HAHA. I can't believe we actually did that, but seriously, for the rest of our time at Ewood, we just avoided everyone who looked sick. And yes, we know that we can be infected by asymptomatic carriers, but we can't go around avoiding everyone xD
I'm just rambling on now.. seriously, if only I could use this as my major work it would be so cool. I'd get it done in no time.
Digressing,
Winter depresses me. I look into my wardrobe for all my long sleeved shirts and they're all too short. Once again, my arms have grown. :( I have the longest arms evuurrr. Stupid genes, I feel like a yellow gorilla.
On that silly note, I'd like to bid you all adieu and happy Sunday :) (I look forward to picking up my free Sun-Herald on the lawn)
P.S. Cook a nice breakfast for your mothers for Mothers day tomorrow morning. Cook one for your dad too, while you're at it, cos he might get jealous. I know mine would :P (bahaha, jokes dad. I know you read this xD)
P.P.S I really need a vanity table. I have all these things that don't have a place to sit that I currently keep in my wardrobe.r *grumble* I also need another bookshelf. IKEA TIME 8) ♥
P.P.P.S Cat just informed me that mothers day is next week. My bad XD TY CAT

Another Friday Gone.

HEYHO EVERYONE.

@ MR COMPRENDE: I'm sorry I've stolen the way you speak, but I have watched too much HIMYM to not use the word legen.. wait for it.. IF YOU'RE LACTOSE INTOLERANT WALK AWAY BECAUSE THE NEXT WORD IS .. DAIRY. Actually I'm not sure if that's what he said, but I don't really care. NPH is just the mostsuperfantastificent gay man in the world.

Anypoos. Since I got home from Lucy's I smooshed in 3 movies. (hmm that just sounded weird) What I meant to say was that I've managed to watch 3 super light hearted movies since I got home. CONFESSION: I thrive on clichéd movies. Seriously, I love nothing more than a happy ending, an expected complication and a shallow little love story entwined within it.

GRAAAWRGGG. I have a net curfew now O-O; Brill.

Anyway. Just have to say. that stormbreaker kid, Alex Pettyfer did an okay job of being the charming English boy in Wild Child.

yes. I watched Wild Child. What on earth is wrong with me? I watched Bratz and used it for BELONGING, and now Wild Child ;D

1. Bride Wars - me likey
2. It's a boy girl thing - sort of like freaky friday.. and another australian movie I watched years ago.. It's okay. I love Samaire Armstrong. The guy lead was a bit yukky though.
3. Wild Child - 2 words, Alex Pettyfer ;)

Just googled him and apparently he has 7 tats. Yeaah. I take that winking smiley back.

ANYWAY Anzac. Okay. I won't be at the service at the bowling club or the dawn service. (Yeah sorry Alanine and Topher) Hope you guys have a fun free brekkie and lunch :P

But yeah. Lest we forget. They deserve to be remembered.

On that point, I'd like to bid you all adieu and have a good day.

Finnish Culture

I've always been sort of interested in Finland. :D Infact, I have a penpal, Jere, and TODAY I HEARD FINNISH, and it sounded freaking awesome.

I just watched a Finnish movie called Pahat Pojat and seriously, I LOVE IT. I LOVE IT! Though it was semi awkward at times. I dunno about the rest of you, but sometimes when a sex scene pops on tv, and the whole family is watching it.. :/ well at my place, there would be a second of silence, my sister and I will shield our faces before my parents decide it's time to channel surf abit.

good times...

PAHAT POJAT (Eng: Bad Boys) - some scenes = a good movie.

(Maan. I can imagine Rohan having a good laugh right now. BUT NO, they didn't look half naked like that in the movie)- they were animal lovers 8) and are good people.. despite the fact that they are serial robbers D:

dootdidoot...

(!! EXCITING NEWS, I FOUND OUT I COULD ADD UMLOUTS, or however you spell them, TO MY VOWELS. E.G. Jasper Pääkkönen- FAVOURITE FINNISH ACTOR.. HA!)

ANYWAY. I totally dig Eero Takkunen. Fictional characters are always so much more impressive than the actors. *sigh*

♥ Pahat Pojat

Damnit. Now I wish I taped it or something D: D:
