Ooh I drove for an hour and a bit today! SO FUN. Today, like yesterday involved me driving around in a carpark... in circles.. HOWEVER, I tried reversing for the first time today.

O.O SO SCARY! Driving has tanned my arms :( Not good. xP Oh well.

Happy New Year everyone :) I hope 2009 will be a fantastic year full of studying, cramming and bsing in exams. (AND DRIVING).

Time to wipe the slate clean and start again.

No resolutions for me. I rarely remember what they are a few months down the track.

PLUS. Bakefest yesterday was a total success too. Except Cheryl and Drew weren't too keen on having their photos taken T_T; So I don't have a BAKERS ASSOCIATION PHOTO!

But that's okay. the CAKES WE BAKED were yummy.

I SHALL SHARE! (the recipe) :P

White Chocolate and Macadamia Muffins

INGREDIENTS:
- 300g self-raising flour
- 150g caster sugar
- 140g white Choc Bits
- 75g coarsley chopped macadamias, toasted
- 60g butter, melted
- 180ml milk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten

METHOD: (teehee prac)
1. Preheat oven to moderately hot (I'd say around 180 degrees). Grease six-hole texas muffin pan (They're the really deep ones. So if you have the normal cupcake tray, it will fill 12!)
2. Sift flour and sugar into large bowl; stir in remaining ingredients. Divide mixture among holes of prepared pan.
3. Bake muffins in moderately hot oven (180 degrees) about 20 minsutes. Stand muffins in pan for a few minutes before turning onto wire rack.

Serves 6- huge muffins, 12- normal sized cupcakes.

Apathetic = failure?

Hiya people (:

I didn't go on the computer at all yesterday. After spending the entire day out with my family, and juggling channels at night with Kelly, trying to watch 3 movies at the same time, I felt too exhausted to turn the computer on. SBS has really weird cartoons broadcasting at night.. Striperella/Erotica? Waahh? euughh.

Anyway. If you see me in the street, you may not recognise me. Obviously, that was exaggerated. I've just changed my glasses ! ! ! TO FOBBY ONES! I had no idea it looked that fobby. But okay lah`~! :P They're comfortable and very solid. Plus I think they make me look smart. (How foo!ish I know xD)

What I'm not used to is my limited peripheral vision now. The two arms of the glasses are at least 2 and a half times wider than my old glasses... I'm scared I'll run someone over when I'm driving ! ! ! OH! I feel like a horse with their blinkers... blinders? Don't remember what it's called.

These few days I've been thinking alot- about my work attitude. I don't care about my academia enough. I don't study much normally, I cram before exams and I feel sad when I get my results, but in the end I don't really care?

My main problem: I don't have time. But I do. I just spend my time doing other stuff. I procrastinate far too much. And my tv habits are taking over me! *sigh*

I should study economics.

I've said that many times these holidays. Baaaah.

But yeah, I'm starting to think my apathy to study is leading to my failure? "failure" may be too harsh, but maybe it's true? I wish could set a goal for myself... I've been reading my friend's latest blog, and he's smashing himself over the head with the fact that he didn't perform perfectly, that he slipped up. He's quite ambitious, quite admirable, but there's so much pressure to perform well. And I guess alot of that pressure comes from within, not from other people.

I lack that drive/motivation. I don't know from where within I can muster the will to achieve a goal. I don't even have a goal.

Perhaps I'm just lazy. I keep thinking to myself that if I don't perform well, as long as I get a UAI of above 95 I can study commerce in uni. Is it that easy? Everyone around me is aiming so high, trying so hard, making sacrifices for that higher number.

: I'm too easy on myself. Too laid back. I want too much fun.

My parents are telling me to quit all my extra curricular activities. No more cadets, SRC, they also tried to convince me to drop out of prefects?! (as if!) I've been fiddling around with my guitar alot these hols, and I bet they're going to take that away next year during the holidays... They say I have a *yeah sum*, meaning wild heart, and all I want to do is play. Which is true... sorta.

But I can't help but think if they let me choose the subjects I wanted to study in junior school, I'd be so much happier now. If they let me chose VA instead of forcing me to study Commerce... I dunno. And they're so lax on Kelly. She's studying Textiles and Food tech. No fair. *grumble*

I hope my attitude improves. I don't know what I can do right now to improve it. The beginning of year 11 was good. I was studying hard, but I just burnt out. I burnt out after a couple of months. How pathetic.

On a brighter note, BAKEFEST tomorrow with two awesome bakers tomorrow. Shall be fun fun fun.

Mum's going to HK in a couple of days, only staying there for FIVE NIGHTS! WHAT BLASPHEMY. My dad only booked FIVE NIGHTS for her. How ghey. You can't get much shopping done in 5 nights... esp when you have family + friends to visit. gayGAYgayGAYgay.

A whole load of them. Technically I'm an aunt many times removed, however we all thought it would be more appropriate for them to call me "jie jie" or Belle :)

So hectic.

So firstly, in my previous blog I mentioned I only got an hours notice.. we had THAT much time to buy gifts.. on XMAS DAY. So our first location, someplace that will be open everyday except Chinese New Year, Jusco. Yep. And we bought party foods + Gift foods (gift foods are foods you buy that you never end up eating yourself, or foods you normally do not buy to eat for yourself, because you cannot afford to eat it often and are only there for people to buy as "Giftfoods"). Okay I know I sound sort of crazy right now, but I had 2 cans of red bull. So, yeah please excuse my lack of coherence. My eyelidS (yes plural) are twitching.. My brain feels like its pumping. Holy crap. Caffine is KILLING ME.

SO, at Jusco I decided to buy some bribery foods, otherwise known as lollies ! "CAAANDY, SHE HAS CAAAAANDY" bought a whole tin + some funky gum. The kids loved it. THEY ALL FLOCKED AROUND ME. This is one of the advantages of having a job -> buying candy to attract kids. lol.

Last week, when I was in Canberra, my sister had these kids over (THE KIDS DIDN'T REMEMBER ME, FROM THE LAST TIME I BRIBED THEM WITH BALLOON POODLES IN FEBRUARY) so yeah, she had a head start in jogging their memory of her. WHen we got there, all the kids were screaming "KELLY ! KELLY ! KELLY!" and they were really scared of me :(

SO. RICKY, my cousin-onceortwiceremoved-inlaw, dressed up as santa (lol yeaah). Hilarious. Photos are on facebook.

OH! My dad recently had a blood test check up, and we found out that he has super high sugar levels. SO PLEASE DON'T FEED HIM STARCH OR ALCOHOL. Today, I had to wrestle cups of alcohol from his hand, and Jessie, one of my cousins was like "Nahh, let him have it, LET him have it" NOOO he had HEAPS yday at the street party . LOADS. LOADS! So I drank some ! The white wine was NICE! :) I love my liquor store owning cousins. lol

BUT ANYWAY.

We got there 30 mins late. After getting lost in Pemulwuy/Nelson's Ridge because.. we have an OLD street directory.. and ALL the streets there are new :( THE HOUSES ARE SO TIGHTLY PACKED TOGETHER. its 90cm between each house.

you could possibly hear SOUNDS from next door... ha.. haa... haaaa *shifty*

So we ended up staying there for lunch, AND dinner. After dinner I was so sleepy. SO tired from looking after the kids, finger painting with them, colouring in, with their super funky textas and their crayola colouring books, taking videos/photos of them screaming and bopping up and down... maniacally. THEY'RE SO FULL OF ENERGY. But I wasnt. So about 9. Ricky saw me nodding off at the dining table, and offered Kelly and I some redbull. Oh man. in the car, Kelly said she had enough, and she gaev me her can.

SO this is why im still very awake after such a tiring day. like 100% awake.

Recently, a friend from primary school contacted me via facebook!!!!!! I seriously hadn't talked to him in ages and WOOOW so many primary school memories have been triggered. So fun talking about the past. 8) I'm glad the past is catching up with me. :)

ANYWAY. When I got home, a letter was waiting for me. Well, technically, it's a card. BD SO AWESOME. Noriko is the best. She sends me cards for my birthday, new years, christmas, and Halloween. PRETTY JAPANESE CARDS.

So much going on in the hols. I want to organise a Kayaking trip in Manly, with FUN ON THE BEACH too, then theres the xmas party, a small gathering at my place, 2 other small gathering at other people's place, cooking party in jan + pool party in late jan.

ANYWAY, I'm going to dedicate this post to my toothbrushes :) Because these devices we use to maintain oral hygiene are very important and do not get enough spotlight!

I have 2 toothbrushes. (Well, three if you count the electric brush I rarely use).

They're both Colgate brushes. [Digressing slightly, I've noticed that at home, we always use Oral B tooth brushes and Colgate toothpaste, so I was quite shocked to find out I had TWO Colgate brushes... I have no idea where they came from!] One's red- the one I normally use at home, and the other is blue- I used this for annual.

The difference is ASTOUNDING.

The bristles on my normal one are harder, thus when I brush, I feel like I'm scraping more crap off my teeth, resulting in a more cleansing feel. Man, using my blue toothbrush at annual takes me so much longer to achieve that clean & scrubbed feel. The bristles are SO much softer, takes so much more effort/ energy to brush my teeth everyday.

And the final result of that: More exercise for my right arm = MUSCOOLZ :)

- After annual I realised how much I missed having a portable music player. I will buy an MP4 or something whenever I spot a good deal. I'd actually hunt on Ebay, but I'm scared I'll get spammed. T_T;

- I'm glad I went on annual. Brought about many things that wouldn't have happened if I didn't go. I can't believe I have no more annuals. :(

DAY ONE:
Bus from JRAHS. Cadets are in PE uniform as they form up into 1 platoon listening carefully for their names during roll call. They slowly pile on, angering the warrant officer :P :P :P "WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG". I agree. SO SLOW even though they're filling in from the back!!
Bought a HUGE Woman's Weekly magazine for their HUGE HUGE HUGEASS CROSSWORD to do on the bus. yay. Anyway, we reached Latchford Barracks =__=; and had PT! Which was, I have to admit SO MUCH BETTER THAN LAST YEAR. It was so fun. : Seriously. Except monkey bars. Maximum bars for me was only about 5. HOWEVER the wall ladder thing, I performed exceptionally well :) Because I like to climb :D

DAY TWO:
WTSS- Owned men in shooting. Yes. Be careful around me and try not to piss you off, because I can blow your head of with one precise pull of the trigger of a rifle. I am a good shot hehehehe. Travelled from Latchford Barracks to Mt Beauty (close to the Vic Alps) where we stayed in "Loft Yurt" which was rather luxurious and provided a wonderful bonding time for us 7 females. It was very fun and clean and nice.

DAY THREE:
Hike day 1 : OMG SO COLD. OMG SO WINDY. OMG SLEET?!!?!?! OMG CANT BREATHE. It was so high up, a couple of steps sent me into panting fits. Within a few minutes of getting off the bus, my cheek was numb and a couple of people commented on the ruddiness of my cheeks. :O
The causeway we were supposed to cross was FLOODED. RUSHING, FREEZING THIGH DEEP WATER.

The first day was terrible. I felt like my legs were going to amputate themselves. But when we built a fire it was warm :D:D:D And we had huts to live in. So yippee. Unfortunately, I only had 0 degree temp sleeping bag, but that was bearable. Cold, but bearable. From drop off point to Tawonga Huts.

DAY FOUR:
Hike day 2: OMG SO COLD. OMG SO WINDY. OMG SLEET?!?!?! OMG STUPID TUFTS OF GRASS. Hurt my achilles tendon on this day. Slipping and tumbling off the stupid wet boundeous mounds of grass. lol. It was terrible. Reached Cope Hut. Nice fire. Realised it was super hard to get up the stairs with my ankle. Started a fire :) (HA! Milo take that, girls can start fires...)

DAY FIVE:
Hike day 3: The major carried my pack, gave me his stick, so I hobbled all the way. Led 2 sections up a SUPER hilly track. Apparently I went fast and some people dropped behind. Hehe. When I'm at the front, I actually hobble quite quickly. Took ages though, I was busting to the loo, and I was super adamant about not wanting to hide behind a bush to let it flow, so I waited. And I waited. And waited and waited and waited. There were so many anti climaxes. I thought we had reached the destination SO MANY TIMES. Guys and Girls had to split up at the junction between the trail to Fitzgerald's Hut and Kelly's Hut. Kelly's hut had a toilet. YIPPEE. The boys learnt how to dig a latrine and do a number 2 while hugging a tree. lol. Had a nice night with the girls chatting :)

DAY SIX:
Hike day 4: Arrived at the junction EARLY, waited for the guys to arrive (haha!) Groves and the major decided to apply bandages to my foot to restrict unnecessary movement. Strange, I felt pain in my calf after that. Because something else was flooded, we could not get to Roper's hut (our original destination) SO we decided to go to Edmundon's Hut to stay overnight :D The major was adamant that I not carry anything : So Buddha (THANKYOU) lugged my pack around and someone else had my webbing (I think it was Lieutenant Li). Bah. Felt quite useless + burdening =_=; Arrived at location- Tented/hootchied instead of staying in the hut. HAHA! IT WAS SO WARM AND SNUG when 3 people were shoved into a 2 man tent BD. I will DEFINATELY be doing that again. SO WARM. MY FEET WERE ACTUALLY WARM FOR ONCE.

DAY SEVEN:
Hike day 5: Carried my own webbing, Daniel Xue in year 9 carried my pack in the beginning (ty) and then Buddha carried it for the rest of the way. I hobbled House-style extremely quickly and THE BUS CAME TO PICK US UP. Yeah. I just summarised that all up REALLY quickly. : SO much more happened, but I cant seem to recall at the moment. I'm just thinking about food + feeling quite sleepy atm. Went back to Mount Beauty, showered, WENT OUT TO DINNER WITH MY yr 11 homies. To a restaurant called Frissante. Which wasn't as good as I thought it would be... :P I had high expectations. Alan had chicken, Milo had a family sized pizza, Lee and Topher had a steak, Buddha and I had Fettucine Marinara (seafood). I had a pretty good time :)

DAY EIGHT:
Victoria -> Canberra. The long drive. We arrived at Carotel Motel, toured around in a bus, spent some time in Canberra Mall which was MASSIVE. JUST FREAKING MASSIVE with only 45 mins. Not enough. Girls complained when we got on the bus again. Captain Best was EXTREMELY apologetic and the boys just laughed. Back at Carotel, the girls were all depressed, and I decided to sing my own rendition of "What about me" IMPROVISED and VERONICA HO, RECORDED IT (and then she deleted it accidentally the next day.. LOL) and then we used my song in the talentquest (and got 1st prize !!! YAYERS) Played lots of volleyball.

DAY NINE:
VOLLEYBALL, BREAKFAST, WAR MEMORIAL, CHINATOWN: ate Japanese food with Topher and Alan, Topher and I ordered a Sutamina and Alan ordered and Unagi Bento I think. It was very yummy. Strange thing though: Jap restaurant - Korean food - owned by Chinese people? :S haha. Back to Carotel, Volleyball, SWIM, shower, volleyball, dinner, preparing for TALENTQUEST, TALENTQUEST ITSELF- VERDICT: FIRSTPLACE: US and TOPHER AND ALAN'S SINGING :D YAYERS

ANNIE, RONNIE, BECCA, CLAY (WHEE). You are are freaking awesome and I can't believe I won't have another annual with you fleabags :P We all said we'd stay up the whole night, but everyone fell asleep around 12, leaving Clay and I. haha. She was sprouting "yo momma's so fat" jokes while I was writing Christmas cards for the girls. After I wrote Becca's I discovered she had fallen asleep on my Double bed, and Annie had fallen asleep on Clay's. :) Cute little girls. Pity Clay and I had to wake them :)

DAY TEN:
Time to GO: WOKE LATE. Well. Not really. I woke at 6.30, mooched around until 7.30. PACKED HASTILY. BREAKFAST, VOLLEYBALL (I love playing with the yr 9s. The dudes are such good sports + non pansies like some of the year 8 guys.. ) BUS.

I have practiced my drill calling at home for COUNTLESS hours. If I am not perfect at Latchford Barracks, I will be severely crushed. GAAH. So much pressure.

Damn. I hope the kids in my section will be well behaved.

I hate pressure, I think I react badly to it.

Actually, I don't know why that happened today. Was it really pressure? Bah.

I wish the hike would just come. Daily life is zooming by so quickly; nature has this sense of tranquility, and a day seems to pass by in good time, when it does finally feel like a day, like 24 hours. Everyday here in civilisation, I feel like I can't accomplish anything in one day.

I turn my head away from the window in the afternoon to start homework and when I look back up at the sky, its all dark, and my parents are telling me to eat dinner.

Downloaded a Chinese word processor yesterday, so decided to chuck some Chinese into my post. Ext English exam in a few hours. Went to bed SO LATE last night/this morning. Doing what? Reading Chocolat. A book I couldn't put down until 4am when I finished it. Apparently the movie is better than the book, I've only seen half of it.

They had strange names, Vianne, Anouk, Roux, Armade, Caro... I mean, the closest one I can relate to, is Caro, and that's because when I was younger, I read Cairo Jim :)

Anyway. I HATE paradigms. I'm scared I'll mind blank in the exam.. forgetting all the points that I'm going to write about. Wish I had a photographic memory. Cos then I'll regurgitate my entire essay.

Uggh I feel sick to the stomach thinking of exams.

After today, two more to go, and then I have to write my 4unit English proposal.

Yes, great changes have occurred. Heard of the Owl and the Pussycat? Did you know the had children? Edward Lear wrote a sequel, but he never finished it. So there are blanks. I like the colour scheme (honestly, I think purple and green make a lovely clash, its contrasts so nicely. Purple and blue is so so. But I love peagreen + purple. )

Advance English exam today ! And economics.

The actual English question was similar to the one I made us last night so. =/ yeah. But I think my essay was very rushed =___=; I managed to dot my full stop just when the lady said "Pens Down" which was good *phew*.

After English, I madly ran to the library to start studying. Other people were already there! I saw a "Japan" table, and a Japanese Beginners study table (I'm surprised none of the Jap beginners did eco!) so I decided to establish an "Ireland" table. :) So my Irish minions joined me, before we got kicked out by Kowalski T_T; Moved to the senior study where it was NOISY. Crammed heaps. Statistics mostly.

Eco exam was ok. The question was a bit ambiguous. I don't know whether the qu was asking about the impacts that caused govts to come up with new policies and strategies to combat it, or the globalisation impacts that arose after govts came up with new policies and strategies. So I talked about both. And wrote a tiresome FIVE AND HALF PAGES! So I felt good coming out of the all. But NOO! Andrew Li *grumble* said "WHAT? only 5 1.5? SHouldn't you have more to write about Ireland? Lots of people asked for extra paper". And then I swear, I felt all the colour drain out of my face.

Bleeh..

Haa. Cramming. Honestly, I did the exam a few hours ago, and I have already forgotten alot of stuff. T_T; First part of our HSC assessment. I hope I did not just screw them up.

TODAY: slept in because I had a lovely free first period. Double maths - finished my math bookmark before the end of the day today BD! Did some revising in jap, gossiped at lunch (haven't done that in a while.. xD ), boring english period and then eco =/ kind of boring. I still have to finish my case study!

damn you sops. I can't believe Shirley, Cloi, Winnie and I were the only ones to turn up out of 10. "Studying" is not a legitimate excuse because honestly... we all have to study. The four of us could turn up, but you had to let us down T_T; and we stayed there until 4.15 not singing a single tune because there "weren't enough girls". Thanks alot..

Every week, I look forward to Jazz Ensemble because it's a lot of fun and a great time to let off some steam. Next week, I can't turn up to the rehearsal because that's when my jap exam will be on T_T; Atm, I am hating you all. You have taken candy away from a baby.

Anyway, after that failed rehearsal, I replenished my loose leaf supply, bought a few pens just for the upcoming exams (lol retail therapy) AAND I bought a Dot Point Biology book. :D I've already done roughly 10 pages ! I always feel ecstatic when I get a new book. Always. There's something about that shiny reflective cover that draws me in...

Anyway, I was a bit disappointed I didn't get to catch the bus today. I wanted to ask S.P dude about the subject "religion". When I was at Five Senses today, I saw a Dot Point Religion book ... yeaah. three sciences and religion. Juxtaposition much? XD

Winnie and I were discussing a few days ago about how much we wanted to go to the beach. I haven't been to a beach in AGES. Superly duperly wanted to go last hols.. the weather was pretty good, but I had no one to go with. Winnie and I decided that we would go NO MATTER WHAT these hols xD even if we had to go by ourselves. There's nothing better than baking on the sand, developing melanoma's on the bottom of your foot.

We just really want to lose our sock tan.

Anyway, I forgot to show off yesterday! Our school volleyball open A's are the Hillzone champions! hehe, so proud. Got a blue bannery thing on Thurs.. not quite sure what to do with it. Unlike the majority of the people in my school, I do not own a trophy cabinet. When I get cool awards as such, I have NO IDEA where to put them. So far all my awards go into a display folder (certs etc), desk draw (dist awards ...) and medallions go on the top shelf in the living room. No one can see, hence no dust collects.

I hate cleaning dust off objects. It's tedious and takes a long time.

Speaking of taking a long time, the three vids I'm uploading on youtube are taking YEARS. I've been uploading since I was awake.. a few hours ago and they're still not up yet. Shocking... Maybe if I had used to the normal uploader it would have been quicker. If only...

Strange thing that happened today:

I talked to a stranger. Haha. It happened like this...

A guy wearing a St. Patricks uniform runs up to the bus stop I'm at, checks the timetable and glances at his watch. He looks very puffed out and winces when he sees the time on his watch. Then he turns to me.

"Has the 546 come yet?"

I reply "No, I don't think so"

St. Pats dude responds with a *mmph* "Okay thanks"

And then there was a lot of silence and alot of glances at watches to check the time. After 1o mins I start talking to him.

"You know, there is a possibility that we may have missed the bus.."

He looks surprised, "You catch 546? I've never seen you"

"Sometimes." I reply, glancing at my phone to check the time again.

Time is dragging, the boy and I were both feeling rather bored and becoming restless. So he starts a conversation

St Pats: What school are you from?
B: Ruse. Points in the direction of the school.
St Pats: Is that a good school?
B: It's okay
S.P: Don't you guys do well in the HSC?
B: I suppose so...
S.P: Hey, I've got a question..
B: *Thinking: haaa, no kidding* mm, shoot
S.P: Do you guys finish a course really early and then spend the rest of the time doing past papers?
B: What?
The dude repeats the question.
B: Oh, I would have no idea, I'm still in year 11.
S.P: Hey, me too! What are your units?

The bus can be heard/seen coming in our direction

B: yaay. Bus arrived.
S.P: Thank God. I have a tutor coming to my place in 24 mins.
B: Oh, good luck getting home in time. To answer your qu, I do: Bio, Eng, Math, Jap and Eco..
S.P: Any extension?
B: Yeah, Jap and English
S.P: 4u English?
B: yeah. What are yours?
S.P: Phys, English, Maths, Religion.... *didn't catch the rest, boarding bus*
B: Wow, religion, that's an interesting choice
S.P: *laughs* no, its compulsory
B: ah, I see.

Then I chose to sit near the rear exit of the bus, he sat near the front so our conversation ended there.

As I was getting off the bus, he waved.

"See you again sometime!"

:) Strangers are nice. I rarely strike up conversations with strangers.
Why?
because I'm scared they'll think I'm weird.

Honestly, its true. I've tried it before and it failed horribly.

Last year, we had a peer support camp where the newbies (whom we didn't know back then) joined us for some fun BD.

I saw Melinda looking quite lonely, so I sat next to her and started chatting (in a non scary way!)

Mmm. Before you guys think I'm nuts (S.P dude conversation) I'm just practicing writing BD. Bal tells us to spend a small amount of time writing everyday. I think thats a very good excuse for me to blog. :) I will try to include interesting writingsss in my blogs from now on.

Hopefully I will see the S.P dude again and talk about different things. It's nice to talk to strangers. (hurrhurr, at first I was unwilling, but he was nice :)

4 hours never flew by quicker.

The year 10s all looked so snazzed up and pretty. I barely recognised some of them :) Spending so much time and effort into looking AMAZING. Last year, I just blowdried my hair and slipped into my dress XD (don't you reckon using "slipped" implies that I had no difficulty getting into my dress? Meaning I am tall, luscious and skinny? Okay, none of this stuff is making sense. I've had too many alcoholic custard tards this evening.)

Actually, today it isnt as amusing =/ bleeh

Not much happened today... The only think I can really remember is not quite significant, but I'll tell anyway. Don't feel like doing math hw yet =_=;

SO, it was during cadets, Nicole, Ronny and I were filling in the electronic roll when suddenly she remembers she has my essay. : WHAT? WHY? my essay was supposed to be with Bal. Apparently Shamas took my essay thinking I was in her class, (I'm in her 2u =_= ) and she marked it... :( So Bal didn't get my essay, and I've been hassling her about looking for it a few times last week xD So whoops sorry!

Cadets: fill in electronic roll, attendance and biv, sign off minutes, create a meal plan for annual that the cadets can use as a guideline to what types of food to bring on a 5 day hike..

Seriously, I can't wait until annual.

I will be away from this place from 11 - 20th Dec.

And then on the 23rd Dec, I'll be doing a bit of volunteer work + Yumcha with friends BD oh yeahh. Can't wait until exams are over.

There is a C.S reunion next friday. Which is silly. It starts at 10.30 and ends 3.30 (in the city) and my last exam finishes at 2.30. *siigh* I wish my parents enrolled me into chinese school a year later. Then I'd be the same age as everyone else... They can all drink, party, stay up late etc.

That, my friends, is a huge pile of unwashed clothes I had in my room. Goodness me, I wonder why I'm still well and alive- breathing in the germs of dirty unwashed clothes. =_=; ewww.
ANYWAY. It was good yesterday. It was really fun, and I'm glad it went well last night- makes me want to have more of these family friend gatherings. Once we finish refurbishing our place (HAAA, we haven't done anything except install a new toilet, re-arrange furniture, paint the walls WHITE [my dad... is so stubborn.. who the hell has white walls for their living room, dining room and bedroom?]) I want to invite them all over so we can have a nice dinner. Wish I had a double storey house. Because then I'd be fit from running up and down the stairs all day. Nowadays, my only form of exercise is running to and from the kitchen... haaa =_=;
Oh by the way, the topic somehow digressed somewhere in the middle of that big paragraph.

Haa, I so know what I'm doing in university. Hmm- or not. I would love to do Arts but that's like.. artsy fartsy. Can I really find a satisfying job from studying Arts in Uni? =/ What I would really love is someplace big to take me in; to let me see more things (see the world!) so I can make the bigger decisions later on in life when I have more experience and knowledge. Which is why I think a cadetship is the way to go !

But yeah. I need to complete my maths. And to start studying for bio >_<;

Apparently Asians have our own hairstyle category XD Can't find anything online that appeals to me :( Number 6... explanation: I've stopped going to church. I really hate it when my parents make me go to these social events. We've stopped going to church, we (my sister and I, the children) haven't been back to church in over 1 1/2 years.. haven't really kept in close contact with anyone... I dunno, I find it frustrating that my parents don't care if I just spend my whole evening sitting on the couch by myself watching tv... while the others talk. Everyone changes so quickly =___=; and I don't know what they're like anymore. E.g. I facebooked Bryan and I found a pic of Andrew with BLONDE hair. : Andrew, Reb and I used to be tight :( I wish my parents didn't stop driving us to church. It's going to be so awkward tomorrow... *sigh* I can't wait until I'm 21 when I can make decisions about where I go based on whether I want to go or not...

Good Evening my fellow minions,



I have returned. Actually, I returned from biv quite a while ago- I was just trying to regain strength ... err. I've just been really tired. That's all.



TODAY!



There was a teacher's strike. AND sport was cancelled. So, there were a total of 6 people that came to english today. AND we did absolutely nothing.



I have ALOT of pictures... I've uploaded them... but I need to sort through them. I also want to find a new photo hosting site..



Photo from today: Drew and I went to Justins, and we BAKED! Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the finished product...

Look, I know it looks disgusting. But it was nice.

It's called COWBOY COOKIES:

we used:
- wholemeal flour
- cheerios (LOL)
- Raw sugar
- vege oil
- choc chips
- vanilla essence
- baking soda (for a brief moment just then, i was panicking about whether we added the baking soda in.. and then I remembered Drew dumped it in the sieve)
- egg
- AN OVEN TO BAKE IT IN!

And we had LAMB, and cous cous cooked with chicken stock

fun day. then i caught the train home, and YAY bus came early (on time actually) so I got home at around 5.30 :) Pretty cool.

Was performers evening today. :) there were some VERY VERY nice compositions.

Kidneys!

Today, we dissected lamb kidneys. I got my own.



I even took photos. I'm so inlove with dissection.



Anyway, today was considerably better than yesterday. Especially when I came home to meet ....

I AM SO ELATED. I LOVE THIS.

Unfortunately they ran out of pink ones.

I don't usually go for the pink objects, however due to my dad's complaints about my lack of girlyness, I decided I wanted to get a pink one... to be a bit different. But alas fate was not on my side. But oh well, I still get an 8mp camera :D


DOWNSIDE: took gazillions of photos. Alot of battery ran out .... Damn. And I uploaded on to the comp, isn't as beautiful as I expected. Luckily I'm not too big on quality.

TODAY:

- Epping Remembrance Day Service. Davo and I went, got poppies + rosemary, laid a wreath and went back to school. Caught year 9s jigging. Doyle noted down names. Stupid kids. Don't jig in your school uniform. Don't go to Carlingford Court T_T:

- No math teacher

- Jap - normal lesson doing nothing much (doing ext hw xD)

- double bio dissection fun

- ext jap: SO many grammar points SO much vocab in spirited away...

PANIC AND RAGE

Today has been what I would call a "bad day" unfortunately.

I know I always say I'm tired- I honestly am. Don't know why though. HOWEVER today, I really am SUPER tired. Stayed up until 3ish helping with my mum's work stuff and then staying up further to attempt to finish a bio prac, that I forgot to hand in today anyway.

What I hate- being sent on a wild goose chase. I know cadets is all about following the chain of command (taking the long way) it's a good thing (sort of) but I hate it when people abuse the powers they have. Some people just demand WAY, WAY too much. You can't seriously expect a person to do something here, and something else there AND THEN do another thing somewhere else & on the spot.

Another thing I hate- lack of self discipline. Okay, I confess, I find it hard to control myself when I see chocolate :) HOWEVER I do have the discipline to listen when someone else is talking and not fidget when someone's on stage, with their knees knocking so loudly, it echoes around the lecture theatre. Today, I was totally appalled by the standard of self discipline and respect held by the current cadets. They talk, fidget, tap their pens and laugh when there is a nervous person at the front trying hard to teach a lesson, trying hard control the wild bunch and trying very hard to impress the assessor. Cadets never used to be like this. Maybe it's the absense of Chris Fung. I remember he scared the crap out of me when I was weeny cadet. One of his many threats included sitting on us !! Mmm. Those were fun times.

I don't know why kids don't listen to their parents anymore. I also see lack of respect, which is quite saddening.

Question:

Maybe it's just me, but every single time I go home after being around smokers in the street- second hand-smoking UNWILLINGLY, I feel nausea and I can't smell anything but cigarettes even though none of my neighbours smoke... Does anyone get that? Another thing. I hate people who smoke in public. If you want to smoke (kill yourself), smoke in the car (LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN OUTSIDE) don't smoke in a place where there are other people who probably dislike inhaling disgusting chemicals used in paint. On the weekend, I saw a woman smoking in the car with a baby in the back and ONE window open a tiny bit. How despicable and cruel some people can be. I get so annoyed & agitated by them. It's bad enough you're killing yourself, but your kid?!

Why I hate cigarettes: because some retard burned a hole in my nice cardigan once at HABOURSIDE. WHY oh WHY THE HELL WAS HE STANDING SO CLOSE, I have no idea- I usually cough (no, more like gag) and then walk away. That reminds me. When I was a kid (before school) my mother said that to stop people smoking in the street, I would cough and make gagging sounds really loudly. Yes, I was an embarrassing child. I also happened to slap the owner of Golden Dragon (I think it's the name of the restaurant..) at Chinatown.. but that's another story. Kids can get away with anything.

damnit. Assessments. Soon. Damnit. I spend too much time hating on things I can't change in this world.

Thought I lost my KFF, but was in Mr. Mac's office all the time *sigh* I spent ages worrying/ looking for it all day. It drained me of my energy. Not much happened today that is worth noting. Frankly, I don't really ever want to remember today UNLESS I get a one-off chance of FLAMING the person who made my day miserable, SLAP and PUNCH and STAB however much I wanted and finish, by erasing their memory. So I can get away with it.

I feel so aggro today.

Bah, homework calls.

Found a butterfly outside Shaw's office. It was nice, BUT it chose to close it wings when I pressed OK. *sigh* I wish I had my camera :*(

This is a card for James :) His birthday tomorrow. HAPPY SEVENTEENTH! I made a 2 second video that I might post up just for the fun of embarrasing myself. I made it because I feel guilty for the absence of a present. So, I thought ! (thought that counts..) yeah and VIDEO :) 2 seconds.. xD

TOMORROW (I was told TODAY!) I will be going to the Epping Club for the rememberance day service and Davo and I will be laying a wreath. I hope I remember to bring my blazer. Must not forget permission note too! ><; I shall be missing english! (noo Shamus... Samus? Chamus? is a fun teacher :D )

Righteo. Greetings people. I have taken the liberty to relax this weekend. Weekend starts from the minute I leave work on Sat until 6pm today - By relax I mean:
- Sit around reading
- Sit around watching movies
- Ditto
- Ditto
- Ditto.
- Party with family (lol not really)
- Go hunting around for a cheapish camera just for ME! I'm not too big on quality. Dad and I have decided we will buy 2 cameras. One is like a bulky-ish type which we will take to award ceremonies etc. The other one would be one thats cheap enough for me to take around, break and not really mope over. My budget is $150.

Criteria:
- At least 7mp (I like to play around on photoshop, the higher the pixels, the more fun it is!)
- 3 x optical zoom (ideally, it would be more =/ but I guess it's just a fun-lotsa-fun-wear-&tear camera... so yeah..)
- NOT panasonic or weird brands I have not heard of.. I am allergic to those. Maybe Samsung, fujifilm, olympus, canon (I don't really like canon.. ) NOT SUPER EXPENSIVE BRANDS EITHER!
- AA batts. I like the convenience of running to a 7/11 when I'm overseas, instead of lugging the Li-lon batt charger and finding that the plug doesnt fit... (happened to us in Japan.. I still can't believe we didn't buy a camera there)

If anyone happens to see anything (in catalogues.. etc) that is in my critera- which seems like a bargain.. well - That's exactly what I'm looking for.

Humdiho, I haven't finished my bio pracs. cbs to really do anything tonight.

What I did Sunday morning (from 1am- 3 or 4-ish in the morning)

Playing Beatie Bow was not fun to watch. For the majority of the time I was watching I was half expecting it to turn out as a horror movie because of the music. Whoever was in charge of music ruined the movie. Honestly... But I watched it because it had to do with Time Travel. Which is my current interest. [ which reminds me, a public thank you to Joan, for giving tips + suggestions! I'll reply soon :D with answers + responses ]

Mansfield Park was a JOY to watch. Really. I love the Jane Austen. I also love the BBC folk who make these movies (these: Pride + Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma). Realism & Irony.. lovely..
My excuse for watching this: I want my main character to be like Elizabeth Bennet and like Fanny Price, BUT I also want to be original and come up with my own idea. Oh, talking about my ext2 english btw :)

Heroes watching was gay. T_T; I had to watch on Tudou so it was SLOW! Plus I only got to watch 5 minutes of ep 7.

Thursday: trying to see which size we are. I told Alice to wear an XL ;D So hilarious. Sam, Becky and Alice (S, M, XL). I figured out today, that the sleeves of the XS and the S were the same. And if we measure properly, we would have found that the XS has longer sleeves than the S. T_T; Stupid jerseys have such short sleeves. S and XS sleeves are too short!

Time is hastily going by I can practically feel the wind rush onto my face. Gosh, I owe a few photos x_x;

I WANT TO BUY A CAMERA! A good one too! Pity I'm busy all weekend. :( and next weekend I'm going away! To Wollemi National Park for term 4 biv- and I don't have my camera :(

James' bday next Tues. I never know what to get guy friends for their birthdays (except richard.. I get him squishy toys.. he loves it)
