Lobster fun

I ate a lobster today.

It's body was bigger than my face.

And we all know lobsters have heads bigger than their bodies.

Anyway. It was still moving when it was presented to us on the table. And I prodded it and moved its legs to see what reaction it would have (I actually regret it now. It must have been in so much pain)... :(

On the way home, I had to stop the car, stick head out the car door and puke into a plastic bag.

Sorry lobster. I'm sorry we had to eat your raw.

My sister can't take the picture we took of it out of her phone at the moment.

So this will be a short pictureless blog. :( I feel guilty for prodding/eating the pained lobster. I now understand why people refuse to eat meat. However it still doesn't explain vegan-ism.

:( Feeling super sick. But I will be at school.

Musical this week. Muchos exciting :D

Good luck cabbage. I'm sure you look dashing in your costume.

I loled at Joseph's latest post about the ways Kiwis pronounce words.
It's great.

Keep up the good work.

This ends today's post.

Have a good week everyone.

P.S. I've driven so much this weekend. Reached 78km/h. It was mad.

Congratulations Gus!

CHELSEA WINS 2-1.

FYI

I am actually very into watching.. football (H).

Bahaha.

What has happened during the past two FIFA world cups:

My dad and I have watched every single game. Sometimes we didn't sleep at all. That's how much we love watching it.

Yesterday my dad was really tired and he said he wouldn't be able to get up at 4 to watch soccer so I wasn't allowed to watch (hehe). But I did anyway and I recorded the game so that he didn't have to wait until 10pm. BUT WHEN I CHECKED, I WAS MISSING LIKE 15 FREAKING MINUTES AT THE BEGINNING *CRYYYYYYYYY*

This morning, i told him I got up early to watch and he gave me a SERIOUS cold look and told me to shut up.

:( So i did.

And apparently he told people at work to shut up too. And he didn't watch the news tonight. WHICH IS A FIRST. Bahahaha. It's so fun taunting him. Serves him right (he told me Laughing was going to die in EU just 5 episodes before he did. I wanted to punch him in the face.)

ANYWAY I shall record at 10 again. It's freaking good man. Man U was so crappy this morning, but Barcelona was so great it was go fun to watch. I tend to be quite loud when I watch sport... but I had to suppress myself in my warm blankets (hehe. I was watching on my laptop which was on the table, I moved the sofa into a good position, slipped on (some super warm) earphones -lol huddled in my blanket heaven and started watching.

Barcelona skill is so O_O. After the first 10 minutes of fantastical play by Man United, Barca just dominated. They just had the ball ALL the time. It was quite nice to watch.

WHAT HAPPENED TODAY:
1. 4am. Football
2. 6.45 went back to bed
3. 8.15 woke up. :O RUSHED EVERYTHING
4. 8.40 at school

I WENT TO COMPARATIVE TODAY and they talked about Buddhism.

Which is extremely interesting. But I shan't elaborate here. (I just don't get reincarnation.. wth? how the heck did that guy come up with it).

brr cold. Winter. is. coming.

I totally lost my train of thought. Thinking too much. :( Ahh well.

Till next post,

Barcelona Won

Oh my goodness. this was such a good game to watch

I'm disappointed by Manchester United's gay play after the first goal (which was scored in the 10th minute btw. SHOCKING).

The Barcelona goals were great :O And wth. I noticed so much foul play during the second half after Messi's goal. It was so disgusting to watch because I thought Man U weren't like that.

Anypoos. I'm also disappointed in park Ji Sung's playing today. I HAD HIGHER EXPECTATIONS! I also had higher expectations for Ronaldo. But he sucked today. I mean, they don't have enough people who take a shot at the goal themselves. 8-)

Barcelona did so well.

Ahahaha. I love watching tv on the comp. I recorded the game. but i think it might be on tv tonight or something.

==; i'm so sleepy now

sleep before school stars in 2 hours xP

Year 12 Formal @ Le Montage

Yes. Shaun sent me photos and his commentary. I'll just copy paste them here and maybe add my own opinions.

Oh before we start, I'd like to state, now, that I will stop hating on Le Montage because it is too late to do anything now. On the day of the formal, everyone will be excited NO MATTER where the location may be, so I'll live with it. :) And the day after the formal I'd say "wow that was fun" no matter where the location would have been so X)

Let the photospam begin :)

Deane's lobby:This one's a lil out of focus, but this will be the lobby for our actual function room. The function room is actually on a separate level...accessed by a nice staircase.....see "Stairway to fucntion room"

B: I like the shiny floors but I hope the lighting is good on the night. I know alot of people take photos at the entrance/ in the lobby. :D I know I would.

Le Montage Lobby:THis aint our lobby...but it just looks nice doenst it :p. Plus u can always add misleading comments haha.

B: No misleading comments from me. I love this place. I wish we could use this lobby. But its usually used for weddings aye? I like the bright lighting. Everything looks especially spectacular when lighting is well adjusted.

Le montage Lobby 2:See above

B: My, my. What tall grass.

Our entrance:Yes. We will actually have a designated entrance just FOR US. *happy dance*. We can do whatever we want...and other people wont be able to see us....or care :)
B: Okay. This is impressive. I like the idea of taking photos at the MAIN entrance too. (I will probably come 30 mins early to formal - unlike last time when Winnie appeared fashionably late, just to take photos at the entrance) I just hope it's not raining on the day. D: November should be fine. I like the mini pillars on the side, and the large large tiles on the rampish walkway.

FUnction room:THis is our function room...unadorned with anything. Looks nice already eh? THis setting is actually for 280 people...so we'll actually have a LOT more room than it is shown...not that it looks crowded.

B: IT DOES LOOK CROWDED! ;D But hopefully it isn't. Lol. Every single time I see round tables, I think chinese restaurants. Anyone else?

Function room 2:Lovely chandelier isnt it?

B: yeah yeah :P The chairs look gay & cheap. Thankgoodness we have chair covers.

Place setting:This is the basic layour for our tables. And yes. Candle and candle holder is included

B: Damnit. The abundance of glasses, potentially dangerous sharp goods and fire on the table kind of scare me a bit. Sorry in advance if I burn the whole building down/ impale some poor person sitting next to me.

Place setting 2:Shot from a cool angle

B: lol

Seat decor:We decided that we'll have white seat covers with a translucent gold belt. Oh. and we'll have like the same stype of stuff hanging from the roof to the walls. At and extra $3 bucks per person haha.

B: Aww white and gold? Satinish black material for table cloths + seat covers would be nice. With some kind of silver ornamental belt. But this is acceptable (I'm such a bitch... :D)

Stairway to function room:AW....we get our own lil entrance.

B: OH MY GOODNESS. Is it just me? Or does the carpet look really really really gross from this angle? I was staring at the carpet, and then I looked at my arm, and I saw weird patterns forming D: D: D: I hope its the really, puffy squishy ones because they're fun to walk on.

Table decor:And yes. We chose dark pink Rose petals as our complementary adornments.

B: Is that a napkin? Excuse me for my ignorance in fancy eating, but why the hell does the napkin have a belt as well? ==; everything seems to have belts. :(

THe View:And yes. THis is the view from mid way on the stairs. The actual view wont actually include the carpark. Oh. and dont forget to mention that we have our own BALCONY. yay.

B: I'm appalled and disappointed. THE CARPARK?! D: NOOOO The convention centre has such a cool balcony. You see lots of nice buildings and WATER and nice walkways.. not cars :P I don't even like palm trees :( (omg speed bumps. I HATE SPEEDBUMPS). Wait. IS THAT A PARKING METER? D:

That's the end of the photo show. Some comments made my Shaun:

So there's our lil trip in a nutshell. But here's a few more decisions we made:
Seating: Tables are made for 8-10 people.
Microphone and lecturn are provided for presentations
There is a request list for the DJ - further details pending
Professional photography is availble ON THE NIGHT for around 15 bucks per B5 photo (half of a4 ish)

B: If someone buys me a really, really, really nice camera (and I mean super nice *Dad, I hope you're reading this), I'll take REALLY really REALLY really REALLY nice photos on the night. I love taking photos.

Menu: (you'll like this part)

Entree' Arrancini Risotoo tower (risotto with diced tomatos, mushrooms and herbs housed in a light, deep friend casing) - doenst sound too good yet. But Jenns says that it is great. We didnt want to get a meat dish cos we wanted it for the mains and some people dont like salad apparently.

Mains: Yet to be decided. it will be decided this week as a grade

Dessert: creme brulee'. Need more explanation? I think not.

B: I've never had it before- believe it or not. (WOO RIPLEYS)

Oh and pricing of tickets. TIckets will be $110. Its final. Its like $1-2 more than the actual expenditure, but any excess we will donate it as part of the 2009 gift.

B: :( I thought the estimate was about 85 or something. Oh well. I wish more people chose Taronga. Taronga is way cool man. Way cool. Nicer views.

Sneak peek Heads up

Hi everyone,

Shaun and 3 other people are currently at Lé Montage confirming things for our formal in November. (all of a sudden, it doesn't seem so far away) He asked me before he left if I could blog about it after I read the info/acquire photos from his expedition, and I said yes, so my next post (tonight? tomorrow night?) will be about Lé Montage. I'm a bit excited- looking forward to the photos, but I have a sinking feeling- telling me not to expect much. After all, other schools went there for their yr 10 formal.

We should have all voted for Cockle Bay. The location is much nicer, and taking photos outside would also be quite nice (office buildings, skyscrapers, twinkly lights, bridge and water). But I guess it's too late to change.

Back then, when we voted for the locations, I had no idea that place was called Cockle Bay. I just thought it was Darling Harbour. Gay. I'm sure I'm not the only one though. :( Oh well.

I was reading some finalist entries for the Aus Youth Week writing comp (Michelle's short story was one). Biggest grats to her :) Such a wonderful achievement. Her story was really nice too. It's really Michelle-like.

Anypoos, I started reading the other people's stories and they are quite impressive. I really like Decay, written by Brenton Cassidy. The style of writing is just so captivating. XD I feel like I haven't read anything real in a long time. It's just been newspapers, magazines, subtitles and blogs for me (oh and Hamlet study guides).

I love books that are deep and don't have much romance in them. Not too much action, but it still needs to be there. A story with a twist or two; once in the middle and once at the end is super. I love books that make me go "holy crap. definitely was not expecting that". :D Unpredictability & spontaneity ftw!

Digressing,

Today, I over heard Bryan and James talking about how television has become crappy nowadays. I have to agree, but also sort of disagree?

I can spend hours complaining about the lack of quality cartoons that exist on ABC kids nowadays. When I was a kid, I used to be able to watch tv from 3-6 because they were so good. Now, some of the shows are so retarded I have to change to some ridiculous channel like 9 and watch something only a little bit better.

Reality shows like "America's next top model" and shows like "Biggest Loser" really puts me off. People actually want to watch anorexic/bulimic girls scratch each other's eyes out metaphorically and literally? and watching obese people gradually become less obese? D: Even Neighbours is offputting now. It's that stupid exchange student who doesn't seem like she's on exchange at all. She's in the starting credits now, so it's obvious she's going to be sticking around for a while.

Normally, I'd be celebrating if there was an asian represent in some kind of tv show I really dig. But her... she has got to be the worst candidate for a tv show. Yes. She looks ridiculous. Her accent is ridiculous. SHE is just freaking ridiculous. She can't act. It's agonising. So I'm not watching it for now.

*shock horror* After being a dedicated follower for so many years, I started seeing similar patterns in the plot and themes and issues are recycled every now and then. Dayum. Neighbours was so much better a couple of character deaths before now. People like Stingray, Janae, Boyd, Summer (goodness, where is she now?) Serena, her parents... You know how they killed off Serena and her family?

They died in a plane crash.

Wowee way to end a character's life ==;

Teen pregnancy- A couple of years ago with Skye... Now with Bridget. 8-)

I think I'll stick with hilarious US tv shows. Like big bang theory of himym. And awesome crime shows like NCIS, 24 (OMG @ THE SEASON FINALE. JACK BAUER DOESNT DIE RIGHT?), not so much CSI, but definately all the Law and Orders.

mmmm. After exams (trials).. or HSC, I'm going to watch all of ONE TREE HILL in HQ. Then I'll watch gossip girl, and rewatch Gilmore Girls and goodess...so much stuff to watch.

Math test tomorrow. Church Service tomorrow.

OH! Regarding religious services... can someone tell me what comparative is like? Anyone know who the guest is tomorrow? I want to learn more about the origins & history of some religions- however I'm not looking to be brainwashed or sitting through and hour long talk where some dude tries to sell the religion to us. I just want a history lesson :)

p.s got the financial review today because I rocked up to the bus stop 15 mins early and had nothing to do :O

IN THE JUNGLE THE MIGHTY JUNGLE, THE LION SLEEPS TONIGGGGHT

I think I'll be able to rewatch the Lion King trilogy within the next couple of days- CEEELLEBRAATE GOOD TIMES COME ON!

Speaking of celebrating good times, happy birthday to the following people:

  • Monday - LANCY. Hope you liked what we all got you. 8) All Carmen's idea methinks

  • Sunday?- Beidi. Hope you had a good one

  • TODAY- Peter . O_O assembly announcement?

Celebrations aside, I've come to realise that watching the news during dinner puts me off food a little. Because I'm a little older (and wiser, I'd like to think), I've noticed that there has been a dramatic influx of bad news in the recent months.

  • Global financial crisis- job losses (remember that guy who killed his whole family because he lost his job?)

  • Swine flu- people just panicked

  • North Korea and it's ridiculous nuclear weapons (missile heads?)

  • Swine flu in AUSTRALIA just popping out of no where

These are only the MAJOR MAJOR things. Of course, I only watch the real news- ABC and SBS. Other channels just feature false eye witnesses who use "chk chk boom" as their catchphrase. Honestly, that girl is mentally misguided.

Did you notice that when she started imitating them, she put on the accent as well 8) fully sic mate. Hilarious.

Anyway, during dinner my dad said something about North Korea being poor. Because I am an ignorant fool, I had no idea and so he gave me a mini-lesson about poor communist countries. According to him (btw, if this is completely false, you know who to blame), China and North Korea were like, good buddies because they're communist countries and yerr. "Brothers" was the term he used (would have killed our current lady principal) to describe the relationship. Apparently these "brothers" are supposed to help each other out alot, so China used to give money to NK, but apparently they don't anymore (confirmation?). This all sounds sort of very distant to me... I have no idea whatsoever. APPARENTLY, China used to have that relationship with Vietnam too before the French invaded. When China stopped sharing their funds, Vietnam was angry etc and turned against them?

I was shucks at history. And I have no recollection of learning about this at all. I wish I did. It sounds so interesting.

Anyway, continuing, I watching a report on ABC, and the reporter said something along the lines of America telling Japan to destroy the NK missile depot places.

WHAT. KIND. OF. LUDICROUS. IDEA. IS. THAT.

Do they have ANY idea how risky that is. You could seriously start some kind of war D: And I really don't want that to happen. (2009 is bad enough. GFC, HSC syllabus change in Jap and English, Swine flu. really. One would think that the HSC itself would be enough. but no. THANK YOU VERY MUCH WORLD or any other SPIRITUAL BEING WHO IS BIG AND ALMIGHTY).

I know NK is acting in a really retarded way atm, sending out another two missiles into the Jap sea. They must be really freaked out. I know I would be, if I was a few thousand km up north.. but personally, I don't think attacking them first is a good idea.

I'd usually never say anything like this because I'm sort of against the former, but

MAKE LOVE, NOT WAR

And make more tamiflu drugs. D: This sudden increase in numbers of people who have randomly contracted swine flu really mystify me. How on earth are they getting sick? A month or so ago, I was listening to the morning radio, and this woman was talking about some flu that existed an age ago (spanish flu? no i don't think so.. not sure). A bunch of sailors (prolly British) had the flu and they didn't die. Apparently this was the "first wave". The "second wave" of the flu killed SO MANY PEOPLE, it was quite depressing to hear about it. I really hope this "wave" of flu isn't lethal. And I sure hope people don't pass any random flu to me because I really don't need illness.

I'm quite surprised I'm not sick yet. For the level of sleep I get everynight, I would have thought I'd be unable to maintain my immune system. But I guess being a grot living in my pigsty of a room really does help. My parents constantly complain about my sister's twisted collar (she never fixes it up), and they always tell her to fix it, and to be "more like your sister"(w00! I finally did something right). Then my mum pointed out that hte person who LOOKS the most organised, neat and tidy is not necessarily the one who has the neatest room. My sister's bedroom is THRICE as neat as mine. But I guess she does have less furniture. For one, she has 1 less bookshelf, wardrobe, desk and bed. Oh and two huge plastic containers. My room is like the family dump :(

HIGHLIGHTS OF TODAY (eh hehehe)

  1. Double bio with a no sub was basically wasted on us talking about Masterchef (lol! so many people watch it), and scrolling through photos in our phones.
  2. taking an actual photo in bio, with us looking ridiculous.

doncha love it?

Afterschool, I thought my mother was going to pick me up. But I forgot she was at work today. ! So I just stood there for a while and (i) I remembered. :( I didn't bring wallet/travel ten to school ($20 in my bag though, but getting $19.10 change in coins did not seem appealing at all) so i walked to the library joining Christine and Momo.

Started to study, but went hunting for the financial review.

WHAT A CRAPPY LIBRARY. No newspaper stand, just a few random chinese papers stacked messily on one of the desks. :( So I resorted to reading Empire. One of my favourite magazines that I am too poor to buy. I loveeee it. Afterwards I read a magazine I used to loveee. Back when I was a retarded teenage girl. Gf. ;D Kristen Bell and RPattzz on the front. Stubble does not suit him (g.clooney on the other hand...). Momo left and Christine and I got into a conversation about formal.

oh man. there seems like so much to do before the actual day (and actually I'm sort of dreading it). I'm thinking of getting some kind of dress online (baahaha risky i know) and if it's the wrong size I can take it to the tailors? or DIY. It would be more affordable. We have some pretty disgusting dresses in australia. The sort of decent ones cost heaps- something I simply cannot afford. I went through this super vain phase once.. didn't suit my budget. I'll stick to being an average girl who tries not to care. (btw I spend way too much on food D: )

Okay. I CHANGED TOPICS SO RAPIDLY. D: WHAT IS WRONG WTIH ME D: (and NEIGHBOURS. wtffffff. I HATE SUNNY. And WTH is wrong with ELLE D: and PAUL FOR DOING A RUNNER? AND BRIDGET FOR BEING A RETARD D: .. and DONNA AND RINGO.. I am considering not watching this show. It messes wiht my mind so much and the plot is getting gayer and gayer. D: )

Hope you all have a great week. Perhaps I need to rest some more. My mind is screaming like crazy.

Ps. I have a vid of Topher guitaring, and Michael Yoon singing (hilarious) anyone interested?

INQ1 Photos- Batch one

This is to show you all how bad the 3.2 mp camera of the INQ1 is.
I'm shocked & appalled. I thought it could do so much better. My old Samsung Z400 was 2mp and it could take better photos.

JOHN'S other? BLOG!

hehe tumblr

Bleargh

Before the photo spamming begins, I'll just summarise my day into a couple of quick dot points.

  • Super late to school cos I was snoozing
  • Got to school during 2nd period (sorry ALICE! I had your shoes in the morning- alice left her shoes at my place on Friday night)
  • 3 on 3. *Sigh* If only people would read the reffing roster posted up on the main noticeboard.. or in their emails D: I wouldn't have to go around chasing everyone up. People just didn't turn up at all to ref, and that was depressing.
  • Tried a wasabi seaweed in Jap. Quite nice.
  • Lunch: reffed a 3on3 game for the first half and sprinted to training after I found Gaby as my replacement (for Beidi who didn't show up for reffing... Yes, I mentioned a name because I am peeved. I'm peeved by the fact that I missed out on alot of my training for this Friday's KO Touch games)
  • Double Eco: :( I suck at eco. You know what annoys me? When I try super hard during class to understand the concepts, etc and it takes me ages. The people I sit with don't even have to read it properly; they skim and understand. WHAT?! Is my brain functioning at 10km/hr in a 100k zone? I don't get it. You would think that and increased amount of input would lead to greater output yeah? Not true.
  • Afterschool, against my wishes, my mum takes my sister and I to afternoon tea. This usually drags on for ages. Which is quite terrible, as I usually have alot of homework due on Tuesday (now that I have some part complete, I'm more relaxed, thus blogging now)
  • Visited fitness first to ask about deals for ADULTS (ie my father) and maybe myself. Kind of shocked at the prices and the "offers" they give. I know FF have a bad reputation as liars etc. They'll do anything to get you to sign a contract. 8-)

For those who are interested, student membership at FF rates below:

These are both offpeak btw:

  1. 12 month contract: $10.95 per week, unlimited access to all equipment, classes and pool. $35 registration fee or something. enter the gym between the hours of 11am-4pm
  2. month by month contract (you pay by the month and are not binded by a contract stretching over a few months, and you can quit if you give 2 wks notice): $15.95 per week with $35 rego. 11am-4pm

For adults, anytime, any FF, unlimited access to equipment is $21.95 per week, though I think it's also a 12 month contract.

I guess I wanted to join the gym before (because of the pool), however the FF dude took me for a tour around the place, and all the equipment looks so daunting. There was this biggish woman just fully going at it on the pedalish treadmill thing. OMG. There were beads of sweat SO HUGE on her arms.

The guide asked me if I saw myself in her position. I couldn't help but laugh. That woman shot me a nasty glare.

Oh, I saw Michael, Benny and Danny standing around some weights.... standing around...
